Things Successful Business Owner Know That You Don't
There are plenty of home businesses that are very successful and yet there are just as many people if not more, who have failed miserably in their home businesses. Why is that so? Are you one of these people who have had only made very little money from your home business? What are the factors that determine who will succeed?
Well, in essence, there are two major factors that probably made all the difference. These 2 things are what separates the success from the failures. The successful home business owners probably remember it all through and also follow it. So what are the two things that you must do in order for your home business to succeed?
Factor 1 : Goals Many people go about their business without a goal. Goals must be set for any type of businesses regardless of it being a small or a big business. It does not matter - you must set goals for every business. PERIOD. The reason why is that if you have a goal, it shows what you really want to achieve from your business. It will help you focus as well as to motivate you. You must constantly remind yourself of the goal that you have set again and again, at least every week to ensure that your goal is fresh in your mind. And once you have achieved this goal, you must set new goals to grow your business further!
Factor 2: Attitude In everything you do in your life, attitude is the single thing that can bring a great change. This is especially true for a business! By having negative thoughts, you are sending negative vibes to the universe and hence affecting your business. This could potentially bring about a hindrance in the success of your business.
Instead send out positive thoughts and positive vibes in the working of your business. You will discover that by doing so, you can see great changes that will help you greatly in your business. This is not only true for in the running of your business but for other aspects of your life too!
Still skeptical? Just ask someone who has been successful in a home based business. I wouldn't be surprised that their answer is going to be to set your goals and follow a positive attitude towards business and everything in life. If you are not seeing results in your home business yet, why don't you try it out?

STOP Marketing your Business and Make the Home Business Lead Come to You!
Would you prefer your leads to come to you?
Right lets get straight into it....
1) STOP Marketing your business! - Now many people see this bizarre statement and think I am mad... let's think about this for a second. How successful have you been getting that home business lead by harassing your friends and family about joining your "business opportunity"?...
When you have purchased a MLM lead list and the prospects have shown great enthusiasm about joining your "Downline" to make you more money?.... Can I assume that if your experiences are anything like mine in my early days, not very much.
So how can you improve your results by stop marketing your business? Well I suggest change the emphasis from marketing the business, to marketing YOU!
The reason I say this is because people buy into people. This is what 95% of network marketers miss and this is very key to your success. So I suggest making yourself look very "Attractive".
2) Making Yourself "Attractive" - Now as I have stated you have to make yourself attractive. To make this very clear I do not mean physically, I mean in a magnetic way. So people feel "attracted" to you.
You want to put all of your effort into giving your audience valuable information that can help them answer all the questions they have in their head, that is literally driving them crazy. You see if you can be the answer to their problem, you are "Attractive" and they will chase you to join your MLM lead list.
3) Writing effective Copy - Believe it or not in most cases you will attract your Home Business Lead with the words you write. People want effective information, and your job, if you want to do well, is to translate these answers into well written, and interesting articles, blog posts, etc.
Now, lets put one thing into perspective here, this will not happen over night. However done correctly you can get realistic results in 30 - 60 days. I suggest that you be yourself, you are not writing a textbook, you are putting across your tips in your own words.
4) Lead Capture - Once you get some interest from your article, blog, etc it is important to have a "call to action". This means a way to direct your prospect to keep hold of their contacts, e.g. name and email, so you can follow up with your tips or offers.
This is ultimately what you have been working on here to attract your Home Business Lead, once you have that person on your "list" you can keep in regular contact, and let's not forget this person loves your work and is interested in what you have to say or offer.
To put this into perspective, let's say you had a list of 1000 prospects on your MLM Lead List that have all read and loved your articles.
If you have a new offer, e.g. a $49 eBook and you send this offer to your list and 20% want to buy it, that's $9,800 for one email!... or let's say you send an email out to that same list and invite them to read your Free eBook indirectly about your mlm/network marketing business and 20% like it and contact you, that 1 article has generated 200 targeted leads!
Now do you see why the professional 5% work hard on bringing people to them?
The quickest way to capture this information is to setup a simple lead capture page, or "Squeeze page" as the industry call it. This is a very basic one page website that has a killer headline related to your offer and then "a call to action to join your "list".
After they join your list you simply follow up with effective emails.
5) Autoresponder - Now you may be thinking how can you keep up with all these emails? Well, the simple answer is you don't have to. Put it on "Auto-Pilot".
Basically you need an Autoresponder. An Autoresponder is a piece of software that stores your prospects in a database (your list) and sends out emails on your behalf as you like.
You setup the autoresponder to send pre-written follow up emails that are personalised to each prospect. These are sent at intervals that you decide, e.g. every day, every 2 days, etc...
I use Aweber, they do charge for this service but you get a very reliable service that saves you many hours of admin and MLM Lead List management. Take my word for it, all the pros use an Auto responder.
So, now you know what you have to do to get your Home Business Lead coming to you, and you also know how to follow up these prospects once they have been "Attracted" to you.
To your success.

6 Reasons why you MUST make your home business lead come to you
How many times have you contacted a home business lead from a purchased list and pretty much had the phone slammed on you? Well I am sure you will not be surprised this happens to many home business owners. How did this experience feel?
Have you ever wondered why some people bother to create their own leads? Or maybe you know but you feel it is quicker to just buy them?.... Well here is why the savvy marketers have turned the tables on their home business lead and generated their own leads:
A) Targeted - You will ONLY generate the home business lead that wants to buy from you. They will have read your copy/advert and like what you have written. They will also have directly sent you their contact details because they want more.
B) Conversion - The chances of converting that home business lead into a sale is significantly higher if you generate the lead yourself, this is simply because they have made the decision to join your list and eagerly await your call or message.
C) Exclusivity - Are you aware that in most cases leads that are purchased from a vendor have been contacted before by another buyer? If you generate your own you will have created an exclusive home business lead list that has not been used, or harassed by another competitor.
D) Filtered - The people that do not like what you have written or offered will not give you their contacts and will not join your home business lead list. "That's no good!", you say..... Well lets look at this way, the ones that do respond will want to hear from you and ready to do business. So you have saved yourself time by filtering out the time wasters.
E) Fresh - As soon as your home business lead opts-in to your list, you will be informed and can act immediately. As appose to a stale, out of date home business lead list that has been contacted multiple times over.
F) Permission - The prospects on your generated home business lead list have consented to be contacted, which makes life a lot easier when you get in touch. Some people also refer to this as "Permission Marketing".
G) Branding - While you create your own list it gives you a great opportunity to brand yourself. This is arguably one of the most important reasons why the professional marketers create their own home business lead list. If people buy into you, they will buy from you over and over again.
So get creating that home based business lead list today and make a significant change to your results.

Are Online Surveys a Waste of Time?
As I start my workday by sitting down at my computer and opening my email, I know that there are three things that I count on; I know today that I will be receiving email from people in foreign lands notifying me that someone I didn't know died and left me millions of dollars, I also know that overnight my email was selected as the winning entry in several lotteries, and lastly, I'm reminded of how much money I can make by doing online surveys. While I can readily dismiss the first two knowing that the only thing strangers are willing to give you for free is a hard time, having had a good deal of experience with paid surveys, I can attest that the claims don't stand up to scrutiny. What are some of the realities of earning money with online surveys?
1) Most Surveys Pay in Points
To my chagrin, I found that the majority of the online survey companies will pay you in points instead of cash. What this means is that if you are accepted to do a survey and complete it, you'll receive points and NOT cash. Once you accumulate enough points you can then exchange the points for merchandise. The problem with this arrangement is that it could take you until 2012 to accumulate enough points to be able to redeem them for anything of value. While many survey companies will dazzle you with visions of exciting prizes that you could win, the reality for most is that it will take months of effort to gather up enough points to redeem them for merchandise.
2) Wasting Time on Pre-Qualifying Surveys
Another problem with many online surveys is that you spend most of your time doing pre-qualifying surveys only to find out 15 or so minutes into it that you don't qualify for the survey! The reason that this occurs is that most of the survey companies will ask a series of pre-screening questions to see if you fit into the category of what they're looking for in a survey candidate. While this screening process benefits the company by being able to hone in on the type of person they're looking for, it's a complete waste of time for the rejected survey applicants. While this may not seem like a big deal initially, after having this happen to you numerous times you come to realize that you're spending more time doing pre-qualifying surveys than actual surveys themselves, and you're not making a dime for your efforts.
3) Misleading Income Claims
While many of the companies promoting online surveys claim that you can make $25 or more for doing a 5 minute survey, my experiences indicated that the ads were misleading at best, and outright lies at worse. The reality is that most surveys pay between $1 to $5 and can take 20 or more minutes to complete, meaning that you'll be lucky to make $5 an hour when all is said and done. While many of the companies selling online Survey Directories boast of people making thousands of dollars a month, the fact is that the majority of the companies payed a good bit less than the figures quoted, and given that most people don't have 24 hours a day to devote to doing surveys, the claims are dubious at best.
4) Gift Certificates and Surveys
Another angle that many companies like to use with surveys is sending out emails stating that you have been awarded a Gift Certificate for a computer, big screen T.V. or some other expensive prize and all you need to do to claim it is enter your email address and complete a short survey. NOT EXACTLY! What really happens is that once you submit your information, you will be directed to a page where you are told that in order to claim your 'prize' you only need to complete a few offers AND refer a couple of other people. Even then, there are usually other stipulations that you have to complete before receiving your merchandise. Again, the reality is a bit different than what you were led to believe.
As you've heard it said many times, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". While I have no doubt that there are people making some money doing online surveys, the claims of people making thousands of dollars monthly are somewhat questionable to say the least. Before spending any money on any of the Survey Directories advertised online, sign up at some of the free survey sites and complete a few surveys to see if it's something you would really want to do.

Starting a Small Business from Home
Starting a small business from home is becoming more and more interesting to many people. This could be due to the current state of the economy or it could also be due to the fact that many people are realizing the potential for success and profit it has.
If this is your first time starting a small business from home, there are a few things you should consider.
Firstly you need to think about what kind of business you want. Of course, you may want to go with something that you are already familiar with or skillful at. This could be anything from creating handmade jewelry, making clothing, making homemade soaps or candles, providing a service for others such as writing or proofreading or building a website in an area that you are knowledgeable in or interested in. It also helps if your idea is something you enjoy doing so that you won't get tired of it easily and would think of it more as a profitable hobby instead of actual work.
The next thing you have to consider is your market. Who are you planning on selling the items to? You should also take into consideration their needs as well as the current trends.
Lucky for you, we live in an age where you can reach the world with just a click of the mouse. As a small business from home owner, you can take advantage of this to earn even more money. You can opt to have an online version of your business and offer your various products to the world through your online shop. Both offline and online businesses would take time to grow and really prosper but with good marketing and quality products, you can turn them into moneymakers.
Marketing a small business from home can be done in various ways. You can begin by sending out samples to some friends, as they are your foremost clientele, and get them to spread the word to other people they know.
Online, you can begin with posting in various forums with a link to your website in your signature or by posting classified or solo ads. This can take a while but put in enough effort and you will reap the rewards.
Finally, you would need to make sure that you are offering products and services that are of the utmost quality. This is how you will build your reputation and your clientele. If you keep making quality products, people will recognize this and eventually become loyal to your brand. They will also spread the word about how good your stuff is and in turn, this would bring in more clients. So make sure that you keep your quality standards high and maintain that all throughout the lifespan of your business.
Advertising can only get you so far if you don't produce quality products or services. I cannot emphasize this aspect of your business enough because many people tend to forget this. Value quality over quantity and you are well on your way to becoming a successful small business from home owner.

6 Ways To Make Money Online
You do not need alot of ways to make money online, but you do need to consider your options. As your Internet skills develop you may end up doing several of the following 6 ways to make money online.
1. Join a network marketing business such as Success University or SFI. Other popular MLM businesses that you may have heard of in the past include Amway, Shakley, Herbalife, and others.
These are all excellent ways to make money online because you can automate many of the functions that you used to have to do manually in the past. These would include providing training, enrolling new distributors in face-to-face meetings, delivering retail products and so on.
2. Sell other people's products as an affiliate marketer. Become professional in your approach to this and actually start an affiliate marketing business.
You can earn money in various ways both selling products and recruiting affiliates into two tier programs. Regardless of how you choose to do it selling other people's products is a great way to make money online because the product is already established for you.
3. Become a niche marketer and focus on tightly themed niches. There are certain industries that continue to pay extremely well and offer opportunities for you to make money doing niche marketing.
Niches that pay very well include quit smoking, weight loss, golf, work at home, and many more. The big advantage to niche marketing is it allows you to zero in on a smaller targeted market.
4. Build an opt in list by purchasing co-registration leads. Then sell products to your list via email marketing.
This is an excellent long term strategy for making money online because as your list grows you always have potential customers to sell to. Your email marketing list becomes an asset that can be worth one dollar per subscriber per month to you in ongoing income.

The Trouble Free Way To Success In Starting Your Internet Business
When I started my internet business, I did not know much about it. I was confused as my searches came across many online advertisements recommending different ways of starting an internet business.
Almost all of these blurbs offered guaranteed success to me, provided I pay and buy their internet business packages.
Furthermore, flashing across my computer screen imposingly were the success stories of their internet business users and eye-catching testimonials purporting to be from the some fit in to the new breed of instant internet business millionaires of the world.
Each one of the online blurbs competes by trying to out-beat each other to lure me with amazing offers and make-believe stories. It was amazing how some self proclaimed millionaires, bragging about their wealth using lengthy flash- pages on internet and pleading for my hard earned $7, $19 or $47 or even more. How wonderful that they seemed eager to show me how to get rich quick like them.
I was stunned to see these self proclaimed millionaires virtually beg on internet for a few dollars from poor souls like me. I got bombarded with these offers via email messages as well. I too was drawn to these publicity exploits as I desire to find the best way to launch an internet business of my own. Unable to choose the right one I tried a number of them one after the other and failure was the result. But when doing so I though each of those failures were pillars for my success in my dreamy internet business.
The result of this was loosing my money in my search for the best internet business to start. Few of these would have been genuine offers while the rest lead to waste of money and time. To pick the genuine one was the difficulty. I learnt from my experience and my advice to you too is not to go through the same trial and error process.
Therefore, if you want to set up a legitimate internet business, then do not gullibly get carried away by these blurbs. Be cautious and keep on learning all about internet business mostly from free resources and reliable sources. Before leaping in to the unknown territory, learn more and more to be familiar on every thing you want to know about internet business. Do not budge a single step without knowing the right path to tread. On getting the correct idea, you have to launch your internet business with a strong desire to succeed.
After setting up your internet business with a proper website and products the next step is to promote your internet business. You will learn that you need to optimize your website and make it search engine friendly.
Again when you try to find out how to do this, you will be confronted with showy advertisements offering to get your site to the guaranteed number 01 position on Google or Yahoo within a specific period of time like seven days or one month easily at a payment of a specific fee. And in your eagerness to succeed, you will readily pay the relevant fee through your credit card and hopefully wait for this to happen.
Then many days will pass and no results will be seen. Again and again you repeat paying to see it happen at any cost since you are impatient to succeed. You see no outcome. Meanwhile, they will keep throwing a report each time saying that you have to order a special-SEO package from them to improve your chances of that happening. Convinced by their reports that the fault is in your website and not theirs, you unquestioningly make a bigger payment to get that done too by them. Again time continue to pass with no results. Thereafter, being fed up you venture to study yourself all about SEO. You also learn about HTML. Then you start the work of optimizing your website yourself or alternatively contact a genuine expert and get it done properly, at a reasonable one time professional fee.
Now you know through your self learning that your website requires links from other sites. Here too you come across rosy offers on the internet promising to build links quickly at a fee of course. In addition you also find services to submit your website to thousands of directories and search engines at a monthly fee. Since you need fast results, you grab the opportunity by paying the fees. Time passes but no results will be seen.
Finally, you realize that you have to do this manually for results. You start submitting your website yourself to directories, search engines etc. And you also start writing articles and submitting to directories for link building to your website.
And then, you start seeing the positive results. It is a big relief for you. The most important self revelation to you is that losing money needlessly is over as you have become wiser, prudent and result oriented in your internet business at last.

The Last Word on Affiliate Money
The number one reason a person joins an affiliate marketing program is to make money. As a matter of fact affiliate money seems to flow in the direction of some affiliate marketers and not others! Why is that?
You may have often wondered why you are not successful as an affiliate marketer and someone else is. As a matter of fact, there is a phrase known as an super affiliate to describe people who are the top sales affiliates in any particular program.
Like anything in life affiliate marketing has an 80/20 rule. What that means is that 80% of the commissions are paid to 20% of the affiliates.
In reality, it might even be higher than that because affiliate marketing has a 95% failure rate. This is very sad because there is no excuse for anyone not to make affiliate money on the Internet today.
The biggest reason the failure rate is so high is because most people never learn how to drive traffic to their affiliate website. In conjunction with that most people really never learn affiliate marketing strategies at all.
If all you did was drive traffic to your affiliate website, you would make money if you got enough traffic there. To increase the odds for success you are better to create your own affiliate website where you can pre-sell products before passing your visitor on to your affiliate sales page.
Even better yet is to use the strategy of sending traffic to a capture page, getting the contact information of your visitor, and then sending them to your presale page. This allows you to follow for future sales because most people will not buy from you on the first visit to your affiliate website.
If all of this starts to seem a little complicated it really doesn't have to be. But it does show you that you will need skills if you're going to make money as an affiliate marketer.
That really is the last word on affiliate money because most people will not develop skills. Therefore they will never make any money.
If you ignore most of what I said in this article at least understand that if you'll master traffic generation skills and send that traffic directly to your affiliate website, you can still make a lot of affiliate money.
Will it be easy?
Nothing is easy when you don't how to do it, but we are not talking about something so complicated that an average person cannot learn it. If you are willing to work hard and learn then you definitely can earn great affiliate money!

How To Really Earn Money As An Affiliate
One of the really great things about the Internet is the many different ways you can earn money. One way people are earning anywhere from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars a month is with affiliate marketing.
You may be familiar with affiliate marketing, because it is where you get paid to sell someone else's products. Let's take a look at how to really earn money as an affiliate using the Internet today.
There are many different ways you are going to get paid as an affiliate marketer. This often depends on the merchant themselves. They all do it differently according to their merchant agreement.
Some merchants like to pay by check on a monthly basis. Others will pay two times a month by check, which is how Clickbank.com does it.
Because of convenience many merchants today use PayPal to process payments and pay affiliate commissions with. This is nice because you can receive your payments quick and you do not have to wait for your check to arrive in the mail.
Direct deposit is popular today and is one way that Google themselves gets money quickly into the hands of their affiliates.
This is a little bit about how you get paid as an affiliate. To earn the money as an affiliate you receive a commission every time you make a sale.
This is a key point to understand because if nothing is ever sold you will never make any money no matter how hard you work. You are not an employee of the company and you are not paid an hourly rate to work for them.
You are a independent business person who operate your own affiliate business. The products you sell are provided by the merchant, and your website and all shipping and money collected is handled by them as well.
Your single, and most important job, is to drive traffic to your website. Then you must convert some of that traffic into a sale. Again, for every sale you make, you earn a commission.
And for every commission that you earn you are paid according to the affiliate program that the merchant offers you. Therefore it is important that you make as many sales as possible. This might also include creating more and more affiliate websites and selling different products on them.
We have just summed up how to really earn money as an affiliate and also how you will get paid. The work part is up to you!

Make Money Online- Do You Need A Big List?
As you look at ways to make money online one popular one that continues to lead the pack is email marketing. In this article we will debate whether you need a big list to make money as an email marketer.
At the center of this debate is quality versus quantity and you really must consider the niche your business is in to determine if you can make money online with a small list.
There are numerous examples of people with lists of less than a thousand people earning a full time living on the Internet. One example that comes to mind is a guy who started an investment newsletter and charged $100 a month to subscribe to it.
If you are charging $100 a month and have a thousand subscribers you can earn over $1 million a year with a small list. Granted this is a very targeted niche, but that is part of the point of this article.
Other examples would include a person who has a newsletter that teaches people how to make money online. Because this is a competitive niche there are thousands of newsletters available just on this topic alone.
To make money with this type of list you would need to have more subscribers, or find your own unique angle in the type of newsletter you publish.
In reality you can probably never have too many subscribers to your mailing list. Regardless of the theme unless you are capping it in the form of a limited membership you want to build your subscriber base as large as possible.
Internet marketing is a numbers game to a certain extent and the more people you have viewing the email marketing messages you send out the more potential you have to make money from it. This would just seem to be common sense.
The primary problem is people have a hard time building a list of their own. It can be time consuming when you are trying to add one subscriber at a time.
Co registration leads and hiring a lead company is a faster way to build a large list, but it is not as personal either. With this type of list building you will have to work harder at developing relationships and getting to know your subscribers.
In summary to make money online you do not need a big list if you are in a targeted niche. However to play it safe you can probably never have too large of a list either.

Seven Delights Of Selling T-Shirts Online: The Pleasures Of Starting A Print-On-Demand T-Shirt Shop
Some businesses are downright enjoyable, especially if you don't have to put much money on the line. For sheer delight, I'm not sure anything can beat a print-on-demand (POD) T-shirt shop. At a POD web site, you put up your designs in an online "store" of your own, and when someone chooses one of them to have printed on a T-shirt, you get a markup over the printing cost. Your online T-shirt store offers many delights when it is new:
The first delight is getting an e-mail from the POD site when you've made a sale. You put up your first design and wait, and wait... The very first e-mail arriving unexpectedly in your in-box has a special thrill. And even though the subsequent ones can never match the first, getting a couple of e-mails can make a bad day feel whole lot more cheerful.
The second delight is feeling a connection to the people who have bought your designs. You go to your account at the POD site and you see a list of transactions. You look at people's names in the state they live in and you wonder how they chose your design and what it means to them. But you won't know, you'll probably never know. Still, you feel close.
The third delight is receiving a check from the POD company. You set your options so that they'll send you a check every time your earnings are at least $25. When the first check comes in the mail, you go out and blow it all celebrating.
The fourth delight is encountering someone who is wearing one of your designs. The first time I saw a woman wearing one of my designs, we were in the same restaurant. I couldn't keep from glancing back at it again and again, beaming.
The fifth delight is telling people that you are a web entrepreneur and saying, "Guess how much it's costing me." You tell them, "Nada." You've supplied the computer, the Internet connection, and the time, so that's free. It doesn't cost you a thing to set up your shop at a POD site. Actually though, it helps if you start your shop already knowing how to -- tee shirt start-ups can be frustrating if you are feeling your way around in the dark -- so you spend a few dollars here and there on books to make your life easier, so you may be honest and just say, "pocket change."
The sixth delight is picking up a blend of new skills. You have to combine right and left brain activities. You need to use an image editor and reflect on how the design looks. You need to find keywords so you'll know what people are looking for. You need to write advertising and promotional pieces, stretching both your prose and your empathy. It's an added benefit that these are all marketable skills.
The seventh delight is actually accomplishing something. While between gigs -- as I frequently am -- searching for opportunities online, it's all too easy to get bummed out, to start feeling hopeless and worthless, and to start getting really good at Freecell. At those times it's satisfying to create a new design and put it online -- proving those bummed-out feelings are wrong.
These are seven of the delights of opening an online, print-on-demand T-shirt shop.

If you think you might like to enjoy these delights yourself, please visit Thomas Christopher's site http://how-to-shirts.com/ and get Chapter One free of his book on starting print-on-demand shops, "All Income, No Costs: Sell Your T-Shirts On The Web." Online T-shirt stores: is it really "zero cost" selling T-shirts on the web?
Selling your T-shirt designs on the web is a business with a very low barrier to entry. If it is not "zero cost," it comes very close.
Assuming you already have a home computer, an Internet connection, and time, you can set up a Web T-shirt shop at no extra expense. You can count that as "zero cost." Let's see how that works.
You can set up an account at a print on demand T-shirt website for free. When you have your account, you can set up "stores" at that site. The stores are free at Printfection and Zazzle. An equivalent, "premium" store at CafePress costs about $60 a year, pretty much pocket change, a month's coffee money.
To create your designs, you need an image editor. The GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) is available free and has as much power as you would ever need.
You need to learn how to use your image editor. A powerful enough image editor -- powerful enough for you to grow with -- is complex enough so that you might get lost in its intricacies when you're just starting out. At this point you may find it worthwhile to pay for a book on how to use it, another couple of weeks' coffee money.
You don't need to be artistic -- some text-only designs sell well. You don't need to be clever with words -- some false, blunt, unwitty slogans sell. You need only express the feelings and attitudes of your customers.
You need to attract people to your Web T-shirt shop. You need to know what keywords they are searching for and how many pages are competing to attract them with those keywords. You want the most people searching and the fewest pages competing. This information is available free through Google's keyword tool and the Google search page. At WordTracker, you can pay $60 per month to save time and effort, or $27.50 per month if you buy their service by the year.
You'll want to advertise your site, but you had better be careful. The markup on any T-shirt, the amount you get when one is sold, is in the $1-$3 range, and most customers buy only one. You cannot afford to pay very much for any customer you attract your site. Fortunately there are places to advertise for free on the Web.
What you most want though, is for your site to end up on page one of the search engine results for the search terms your customers are using. For that you need quality back links, that is links pointing to your website from other quality websites. The best way to get these quality back links is to give away useful information with links back to your shop attached. There are several ways that you can give away information on the net: blogs, forums, ezines, web pages...
None of these things costs much. You can do it all for free, if you know how to. Tee shirt shops require mostly time and knowing what to do.

Affiliate Marketing Mistakes That Cost You Money
Affiliate Marketing is one of the simplest ways to earn money on the Internet. With this type of internet marketing, your main task is to get traffic to the affiliate website, and earn a commission on sales of the product or service. Affiliate marketing is also a great way for the newbie to try his hand at online selling, and also an excellent business model for individuals wanting the benefits of having their own business without the hassles of establishing their own internet business. While some marketers make good money with affiliate programs, many fail to realize the full potential of affiliate marketing because of crucial blunders they commit along the way. This article points out several common mistakes made by affiliate marketers, and offers ways to improve your results.
1. Building Someone Else's List...Instead of Your Own
One of the most common mantra's you'll hear chanted by the Internet Marketing Guru's is that "the money is in the list". Most will even go so far as to say that the most important factor in building long term success is having a motivated list of buyers. Unfortunately, one of the biggest mistakes that many marketers make is building someone else's list instead of their own. With many affiliate programs, the affiliate marketer makes a one time commission on a sale, but the operator of the affiliate program keeps the contact information, and therefore has the opportunity to sell this person on 'backend' products and services. A simple way to get around this is for you to setup a 'squeeze' or 'lead capture page' which enables you to obtain that person's contact information before sending them to an affiliate website. Having a huge list of prospects that you can send your offers to is like money in the bank. Always remember, the money is in the list!
2. Failing to Track Your Links
Another common mistake that many affiliate marketers make is not using link tracking software to track where your hits and sales are coming from. You need to know where your sales are originating from so that you can target your advertising to the places that are producing results and profit. Advertising without tracking reminds me of the line used by Yogi Berra, "if you don't know where you're going, when you get there you'll be lost". Ad tracking software is inexpensive and is a must for the serious affiliate marketer. Use it with all your advertising.
3. Not Following Up With Contacts
While building a list of contacts is one of the keys to increased profit and long term success, it will all be for naught if you fail to follow-up with your prospects. It's hard to understand why some affiliate marketers will spend time, effort and money getting people to a website only to drop them like a red headed stepchild once they have made the sale. Most experienced marketers will tell you that the hardest sale is the first one, and the real profit comes from backend sales. The caveat to this however is that in order to achieve this you need to build trust and confidence with your prospects, and you accomplish this by communicating with them on a regular basis. Some simple ways to do this is by sending out a newsletter, offering free reports, and providing other valuable information that will remind your prospects that you are there to help and are a person they can call on.
4. Sending Multiple Offers in Your Emails
Another common mistake that many affiliate marketers make is including numerous offers in the same email. When a prospect responds to one of your ads, they are interested in receiving information on that specific product or service. Including numerous links and offers in an email only confuses your prospect and greatly decreases your chances of making a sale. More is not always better when it comes to email marketing. Remember to keep your emails focused on the product or service that your prospect is requesting information about.
5. Promoting Too Many Affiliate Programs
Along with trying to pitch several offers in the same email, many affiliate marketers fall prey to promoting numerous affiliate programs at the same time. As with most things in life, focus is the key to success with affiliate marketing. Jumping from one program to another will only lead to frustration and most likely failure. Don't allow yourself to fall for the better mousetrap theory. There will always be the next great affiliate product waiting in your email mailbox. You need to realize that your success with affiliate marketing has more to do with you and your efforts, than choosing the perfect affiliate product or program.

How To Stay Motivated When Working At Home
Anyone who works at home knows that there are times - many times - when you just don't feel like working. Or, maybe things are going on in your life or in your home that are distracting you from doing your work. Regardless, you need to create a structure to your work at home life that eliminates interruptions, temptations, and frustrations, and lets you get on with making a real living.
Lack of motivation is one of the major reasons why "work at home" businesses fail. The effect of waking up in the morning and walking directly from the bed to the desk is enough to make anyone unmotivated. By creating a more work-like structure, you can regain your motivation and earn more money.
First things first - if you had a real job, would you work in your pajamas? No! So, when you get up in the morning, take a shower and put on some REAL clothes. By creating a feeling of work, you will work harder and more efficiently. You will take your "job" more seriously. Have a cup of coffee, sit down to your desk, and get working.
Make sure everyone in your home knows when "work time" is and that they are not to interrupt you, except for an emergency. People must learn to respect that when you are working you are not available to them. Set deadlines for yourself. If you have a project due at the end of the day, have deadlines established throughout the day that represent where you want to be in the project at a specific time. One of the best tools for setting deadlines is an egg-timer. By racing against the clock, you will work faster and more efficiently. There are numerous electronic egg-timers that you can put on your computer that can help you keep on task.
Money is a great motivator. If you think of how much you are making and what you can do with that money, the more motivated you will become. If you are saving to buy a home, get a picture of a house you like and load it as your computer wallpaper, or put it on your desk for a constant reminder.
If you are saving for your child's college fund, put a picture of your kid in front of you and draw a little graduation cap on him or her. This will remind you that the work you are doing is worthwhile and that motivation is necessary to achieve your goals.

You just want to make sure that you don't join a business opportunity unless you are really sure that this is what you want to do.

Quick And Easy Ways To Work From Home Online
In this article we want to talk about ways you can make money from home using the Internet to do it. Some of these are both quick and easy ways to work from home online, and can be started for free or nearly free.
1. You can make money taking surveys or doing data entry. This is a legitimate work although it takes time to develop a list of companies to do work for.
Some people prefer to buy a list, and if you choose to do that you will want to work with reputable companies only. This will involve taking time and doing some research online before making any moves.
2. Email marketing is a popular way to work from home online and it is very easy as well. The quickest way to build a mailing list is to send out offers and to purchase co-registration leads.
There are companies that will build your mailing list for you and let you concentrate on doing the marketing. To successfully market to an e-mail list you need to build relationships before you try and sell any products.
3. Affiliate marketing is a great way to get started working from home online because you do not need a product of your own. You can join affiliate marketing programs for free and they will provide the products and support you need to make money.
As an affiliate marketer you will receive websites, products, marketing materials, and pretty much everything you need to succeed. Your job will be to learn how to market the products you represent and you earn a commission when you make a sale.
4. Promoting affiliate marketing products via pay per click advertising is a quick and easy way to work from home online. You will need to master PPC advertising skills, but once you get the hang of this you can set this up as a hands-off business.
There are people that earn 6 and 7 figure incomes per year using this form of promotion online. They do this without any product or website of their own and spend less than a couple hours a day actually overseeing their business once it is set up. It just doesn't get any quicker or easier than this.
You will need to set your own goals for the income level you wish to achieve when you work from home online. Whether you want to make a few hundred dollars a month, or develop a full-time income it certainly is possible to do it thanks to the Internet today.

Recipe for Success
It may sound strange to say that one of the things that can get you into trouble really quickly is success. After all, that is what you are trying to accomplish, right?
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), some companies become more successful than they ever imagined and find themselves in trouble.
One commercial that illustrates this point rather well shows a group of very young people surrounding a computer. They click and turn on their website which is selling their product. They start cheering as the counter starts clicking away with all the orders. Suddenly they stop cheering as the counter starts going even faster and they start looking at each other when they realize that they are selling at a faster pace than they ever imagined. Suddenly they have to worry about whether they have the capacity to fill all those orders, do all the shipping. Suddenly they are in a bit of trouble.
When you were doing your business plan (you did do a business plan didn't you???), did you make some contingencies for the greatest success you could ever imagine? How long would it take you to gear up to meet the demand? Do your systems have extra capacity? Can you control how fast things go (i.e., would your server temporarily shut down if traffic reached a certain level or would the entire thing collapse under the stress)? Do you have a way to reach people to let them know that you are experiencing higher demand than you anticipated and what you are doing to try to remedy the situation? We all start a business to be successful, but a lack of planning can do a great deal of damage to your businesses reputation before you even really get started if things get out of hand too quickly.
Try to test things out before you go live. If you are working through a website, turn it on for a short time and see what happens. If you are expecting 20 hits in six hours and get 200, you may need to rethink your preparations. Ask as many people you can about your product and see what they think. Gather as much information as you can before you go live and be as prepared as time and your budget allow. You don't want to go overboard, but generally it is easier to scale back than to gear up.
Be ready for the best and go for it! You don't want your own systems and lack of planning to slow you down!

MLM Network Marketing Training--How to Develop a 90 Day Marketing Plan of Action
As a MLM network marketing trainer and consultant, I know the importance of incorporating a 90 day marketing plan of action into a business, especially multi-level programs.
In order to attain immediate momentum in your new business, this step is the most important of them all. So how is this marketing plan developed, and what pillars of marketing are necessary for ultimate success?
Strength vs. Weakness
The first components to consider with a 90 day marketing plan are your strengths and weaknesses in marketing. Are you an intermediate online marketer, a beginner, or advanced? Are you a good writer? Do you feel shy being on video? Are you a good speaker? These are great questions to ask yourself before outlining a plan of action. I have personally found my strengths to be in three major areas of marketing. These include article marketing, blogging, and video marketing. The key is to have at least 3-5 pillars of marketing circulating on a daily basis. Being a mlm network marketing training coach, I always emphasize the beauty of marketing pillars.
Get Sound Advice
Now that you have recognized your strengths and weaknesses, you are now ready to move forward in your 90 day marketing plan, but wait, you need sound advice from a professional who's had the chance to implement the marketing plan thoroughly, especially if this is your first time. In the mlm network marketing business, good sound advice comes every once in a while from a few good leaders. Find a coach, mentor, or guide that will walk you through the training you need to succeed in your business. Having all the right answers in the beginning will make life a lot easier once you begin to move forward.
Implement the 90 Day Marketing Plan
Now that you've done your homework in identifying your strength and weakness, you've received sound advice from an elite mlm network marketing trainer, you are now ready to implement the plan of action. After 90 days, simply start the plan over again for another 90 days. Do this over and over and over time, it will become a no-brainer and your mlm business will soon soar. A typical marketing plan looks like this:
Day 1-- Blogging/Social Bookmark/Article Marketing
Day 2- Video Marketing/Podcast/Social Bookmark
Day 3- Newspaper Advertising/Postcard Marketing
Day 4--Facebook & Myspace Prospecting
Day 5--Regroup/Rest
Repeat...
Starting a mlm network marketing business can be a real pain if a 90 day marketing plan of action is not in the mix. I make sure all my clients understand the importance of this technique. Cash flow and leads are what keep a multi-level marketing company in business, and without them, the business is soon to fold. Implementing the tips above will help move your business forward in style.

How To Make A Second Income Online From Home

Make Internet Income Through Affiliate Programs
Whether you are just starting out with your Internet business or are an old hand at home-based business, you might find a gold mine in affiliate programs.
Becoming an affiliate, at its most basic level, is simply marketing someone else's product or program in exchange for a fee. The company will give you a link to use on your website or perhaps set you up with your own website. When a prospect clicks through and purchases the product or service, you get a commission.
The beauty of these associations is that they often cost you nothing and your only expense is the time and effort you expend to market the product. Affiliate programs are a win-win situation. The company wins because they have hundreds or thousands of home-based entrepreneurs marketing for them and you win because for a moderate amount of effort, you can make multiple streams of steady income.
Affiliate programs have blossomed out of the need for companies to efficiently leverage their marketing dollars and they found that paying commissions on sales to affiliates is cheaper than using traditional (off-line) marketing methods.
As an affiliate, your job is to drive sales to the company by driving traffic to your own site. The company's job is to pay you for your success. You can get paid in various ways including pay per click. Every time a prospect visits your website and clicks on the company's link, you are paid. You might get paid on a pay per lead basis which pays you if the prospect clicks through to the company website and signs up for something, like a free newsletter. You have created a hot lead for the company. And, you might get paid for facilitating a straightforward sale for the company.
In making the decision to become an affiliate, you should check each company out to make sure that you would feel comfortable representing them. First do a web search for affiliate programs (be warned there are thousands of them out there). Once you have chosen a few interesting companies, look at their products......would you buy them and use them? Find out what others are saying about the company. If there is a firestorm of bad feedback, you should stay away. Another thing you will want to do is explore their compensation plans. How much and how often will you be paid for sales? If the program is multi-level, can you explain it to those you sponsor? If a product is offered, is it marketable or would only a very few people be interested?
If you have a solid marketing program in place that drives lots of prospects to your website, you can make a great deal of money representing companies as an affiliate. It is the ideal low-cost Internet business for the part-time or full-time entrepreneur.
You don't have to be a marketing guru to make money. There are ordinary folks making hundreds or thousands of dollars every month as an affiliate for one or several companies. All it takes is researching the right companies and dedication to building a highly trafficked website.

How To Easily Make More Affiliate Sales Using Audio
Making sales of any products is no more difficult than helping people conclude that what you have to offer is the ideal solution to a nagging, painful problem that they have.
One very effective method that I use to do this is to discuss the product with the person who knows it best - the product owners. You can do the same.
You merely need to arrange an interview with the product owner and record it. You can do this using any of dozens of free teleconferencing services, using a recording device hooked up to your phone, or as I often do, using Audio Acrobat at: http://williec.audioacrobat.com
I like audio acrobat because, 2-3 minutes after you hang up the phone, you have an MP3 ready to download or stream from their server. For $20 per month, you get unlimited bandwidth and can do as many calls as you like. Lots of leading marketers use Audio Acrobat. You can check out the features at the url above and even try out the system for free for 30 days :-)
Most companies offering free conference call lines charge you extra for the recording or for replays!
During the interview, focus on the problem that the product solves. People need to be made painfully aware of a problem, and that it's not going to get any better unless they do something about it.
Only after you discuss the seriousness of the problem, do you discuss the solution. At this point, don't be afraid to discuss more than one solution (assuming that your solution is superior).
Next, you tell your listeners precisely how to get the product - via your affiliate link. Ideally, during an audio interview, you have a link handy that's easy for your listeners to type into their browsers, or even remember if they happen to be listening to your audio in their cars.
One of the challenges that you'll face using audio interviews is that even when you point out a solution to people, they will often do nothing. Many will listen to your interview, conclude that the product is ideal for them, and then NOT click through to check out the product. People just procrastinate on taking even simple actions.
An easy solution to that problem is to redirect your listeners to a webpage that you want them to see at the end of your audio.
Use a program like Audio Redirector to AUTOMATICALLY send your pre-sold listeners right to your sales page or order form.
By automatically redirecting them to your sales page after telling them of an obvious solution to a painful problem, you're 90% of the way to making the sale, and many will go ahead and order.
Download the Audio Redirector software at http://AudioRedirector.com
When you think about it, what can be simpler than discussing a problem with someone who has a proven solution? Record that discussion, and make that recording available to those who know that they need a solution. At the end of the discussion, you "helpfully" send those listeners over to where they can purchase the product.
Makes a lot of sense doesn't it?
It works, it really does :-)

How Does Affiliate Marketing Work?
Affiliate marketing is a method of promoting a web business in which an affiliate earns a commission for each visitor that takes action on the merchant's website.
An affiliate may be rewarded for each visit (pay-per click), subscriber (pay-per-lead), or customer sale (pay-per -sale). The merchant decides the value rewarded for the action.
Sites like Amazon.com have decided to run their affiliate program directly from their website. Others use a third party service like Commission Junction (cj.com) or Linkshare.com to track affiliate links and sales.
How does affiliate marketing work?
Signing up for the program
An affiliate can sign up for a merchant's program either directly on the merchant's site, if that is where they run the program, or through the third party intermediary. Most affiliate programs are free. However, due to spamming, and to insure the affiliate's site matches the merchant's, some merchants will now investigate the affiliate's site before they allow them to join their affiliate program.
It is not unusual for a merchant to decide against allowing someone into the program. They may not have enough traffic or their site may not relate to their own.
Your Affiliate ID
If the merchant accepts the affiliate, the affiliate is then given an affiliate ID or code that allows them to promote the website. This ID is found on all marketing and promotional tools offered by the merchant including banners, text links, and graphics. Some merchants allow the affiliate to customize their link by adding their own name.
Because this ID is found on all the marketing tools, an affiliate simply needs to place their banner or text link on their website or blog and then drive traffic to the site.
Earning your commission
When a visitor to the affiliate's site clicks the banner, and then completes the action required, the affiliate would then earn a commission. The best way to describe this is if the affiliate was a car salesman, and someone bought a car they would earn a commission. Online though, an affiliate can earn a commission for generating a lead or sending a visitor to the merchant's site.
The visitor must complete the action in order to receive the reward. It is important that the affiliate understands what they are being paid for.
The merchant will then give you a commission for the action completed. The commission rates vary depending on the merchant. Because there are so many affiliate programs on the web now, many merchants offer commission of 50% or higher in order to keep up with competition.
Some affiliate programs offer recurring commissions in which an affiliate would be rewarded for future sales as well. For instance, if the affiliate was part of a magazine site they would receive a commission every time their past subscribers renewed their subscription.
There are also tier programs. This works on recruiting new members into the program. When someone you referred makes a sale you earn from their commission as well.
Merchants are offering more ways for affiliates to earn such as, earning for offline sales and offering more marketing material for their affiliates.
To sum it up, affiliate marketing works by the affiliate aligning themselves between customers and merchants. When an action is completed, via the affiliate ID, the affiliate earns a commission.

These are 3 Ways A Beginner Can Make Money On The Internet
If you are like I was when I first started trying to make money on the Internet you are a little intimidated. For some reason making money online is never as easy as it is made out to be. If you are a beginner trying to make money on the Internet you will enjoy this article on three ways
you can get started.
1. Join an affiliate programs and get paid to sell other people's products. This is quite possibly the easiest way a beginner can get in to the Internet marketing game and make money.
The primary advantage to this way to make money on the Internet is your products are already created for you. This means that you do not have to develop a product to sell online as the merchant you represent has those for you. Just think how much that takes the pressure off. I think you'd agreee with me on that!
The other reason people like affiliate marketing is your own website are ready for you to promote as well. This means you can concentrate on learning how to market your website, and whenever someone purchases a product you get paid a commission.
2. Purchase co registration leads and import them into an auto responder. This is a great way to build your list without actually doing any of the work.
The lead company will build your list for you, and can even provide an auto responder for the leads to be put into. The key to making money as a beginner this way is to get a series of email messages set up in your autoresponder to automatically follow up.
You can even hire someone to write these follow up messages for you. And they might be willing to set them up for you in your autoresponder to. The key point we want to make here is the skill for this type of marketing comes in building relationships with the leads that are gotten for
you.
However once you master becoming a credible person to the people on your list, you can literally make money on every e-mail you send out.
3. Start a blog with blogger.com. This is owned by Google and you can join the Google Adsense affiliate program as an easy way to make money with your blog. If you do not like to write you can hire a ghost writer to write blog articles for you.

Finding Your Niche as a Home Staging Professional
Remember when you first started college? As a freshman, the classes you took were all general education courses like math and English.
By your second year if you were a Business major, you started taking general classes within your major like basic Accounting and Economics. Then by the time you were ready to graduate, you were taking advanced classes specific to a subject within your major like Marketing.
This is very similar to your growth as a Staging Design Professional. When you first get started, you're working with everybody (the general public), or in some cases, "anybody" because your business depended on it. You didn't have the luxury of being choosey because you just needed to get business NOW.
As your business evolves, you may naturally start creating a niche because you just organically attract certain clients or types of projects. If this doesn't come naturally, you will eventually want to figure out what your distinct segment of the market is or more affectionately, "define your niche".
This is not only the "who", but also the "what" in the marketplace you serve. For instance, as Stagers, you can work with homeowners, Realtors, builders, developers or investors.
Choosing to work with one of these types of folks is part of your niche. The "what" or your specialty, such as model home merchandising or only staging owner occupied properties is also part of your niche.
I was recently at a Mastermind meeting where one of the Realtors mentioned that when she first started her business, she met a mentor who called himself the "Condo King" so she decided to call herself the "Condo Queen" and went on to be known as a condo specialist.
I know of a local Stager that specializes in Staging Lofts.
I found one of my niches was in Managing Remodel Projects for Resale. I was the "go to" person when those projects came up because I was known by the local Realtor community as the expert in that area. That also led to several condo conversion renovation projects that I was hired to consult on.
SO WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO FIND A NICHE?
You want to be seen as the Expert in that particular niche.
As an expert you will find that:
- Experts are able to command higher fees.
Your clients want to know that they're getting the best and they're usually willing to pay more to have someone who is an Expert. After all, Cardiac surgeons are paid a lot more than a generalist M.D.
- Experts have more credibility.
More people want to work with Experts rather than Generalists. There is a higher demand for Specialists and as a result, they command more respect.
Just as an Enrolled Agent is paid a lot more for their technical expertise in the field of taxation, particularly IRS audits, than your local H&R Block tax preparer.
- Niching can help separate you from your competition so
that you'll be remembered.
Recognition is particularly with the "green" movement. Incorporating those principles into your Staging services will not only get consumer attention but you can potentially dominate that market since this is an emerging concept.
- Niching helps you clarify your marketing message.
Now that you know who your target market is and what your unique service offering is, you can now build your customer's awareness of your services as well as your brand with more focused campaigns.
SO HOW DO YOU FIND YOUR NICHE?
You need to ask yourself a few questions.
- What do people already see you as an expert of?
- What are you known for or what do you want to be known for?
Take a look at your previous projects or your client profiles.
- Was there a group of folks that you worked with more often than another?
- Is there an area that you're particularly better at than anyone else?
- Where can you be a "first" at in your marketplace?
It could be that you only do vignette staging which creates a look and feel without the need for a lot of inventory which reduces your overhead expenses.
Perhaps you're known as a Color Specialist or the "Green" Stager. By positioning yourself as the Expert in this sexy, new niche, you will probably get a lot of media exposure since it is the "HOT" topic of the moment.
As you can see, niching helps you clarify who and what you want to work with. By communicating that specialty to your clients, you can help ensure that you're not taking on projects that are outside of your expertise and eliminate those that bring you the least joy.
Over time I found my niche just by working on all kinds of projects and figuring out which ones I enjoyed and which I could easily say "no" to, regardless of the money.
Figure out what your niche is and you will find that the journey to your Staging success is a lot more fun!

When I first looked at this eBook, I said to myself “Can one eBook really help me make money from home?” but to my complete surprise this eBook actually got my attention.
When looking for a way to start a home business, you can be bombarded with tons of information. It is very hard of someone new to internet marketing to know where to begin.
As I read Auction Payday. Kids play, to my surprise I found myself drawn into the eBook soaking up all the information it was providing. The information which I was reading was really opening my eyes to how it is possible to be able to stay home and make money selling products on eBay while my kids are napping, playing or doing their homework. What I found out was quite amazing.
I have always been fearful of trying to sell on eBay and with Auction Payday. Kids Play I instantly found out how to get started. I was lead step by step through the entire process of starting an eBay business from home. The eBook taught me how to
• Open my own eBay store.
• Effectively list my items.
• Generate traffic to my store!
• Become a PowerSeller.
• Benefit from the tax advantages of opening your store.
• Pick a product to sell that doesn't take up any space in my home and doesn't run out.
• Set goals to make my home business a reality!
• Start making money immediately!
This information is common knowledge to most people already using eBay, but if you have never sold before, this book is your best resource. However, it was the in depth explanations, the how’s and the why of using specific products that I found truly unbelievable. The tax benefits and the goal setting discussions are part of a home business that I haven’t even considered before and takes Auction Payday. Kids Play to a whole new level. Already I can see that making money from home while raising my kids can be done, and is not just something I’ve dared to dream about.
After reading the entire book, I found the information provided very helpful. I also found it so easy that I instantly began to visualize starting my own business.
You will find in this eBook a great step by step guide to creating and setting up your own business in 24 hours. “24 hours!” Here it is in black and white, a step by step guide to creating a working online business in 24 hours! Astonishing!
Auction Payday. Kids Play does not stop with just getting your own eBay store open and making money in a day. It goes even further by pointing out the tax benefits of running a home business. It also has a whole section devoted to goal setting and the importance of setting goals to achieve your business objectives. These sections alone make the book well worth the money!
Just when you think it couldn’t get any better, Vickie also includes a couple of bonuses that further help you with your eBay business AND she gives you information on a complete product line that so that you don’t have to spend time worrying about where to find inventory.

Can You Make Money With A Website?
Can You Make Money With A Website?
Can you make money with a website? Can you create a website that not only gets hits but serves a returning customer base?
The simple answer would be yes. It's been proven time and time again that with right formula and work ethic you can take a blank web space and turn it into a full time money maker.
The real question then is are you ready?
Instead of asking, "Can you make money with a website?" Ask yourself if you are up for the challenge. Are you ready to dedicate the time and mental energy required to create a money making website.
Will you take it seriously? Are you ready to learn and then apply that knowledge so you can continuously make money with a website?
Creating a website that pays isn't the toughest thing in the world, but don't be fooled into thinking it's the simplest form of running a business. It is still a business in every aspect of the term, and being your own boss requires a lot of mental preparation.
One of the best ways to get mentally prepared is to talk to people who are already in the industry. Work with someone one on one to help you learn the ropes and avoid common mistakes.
By getting a sense of what it's going to take for you to be successful you are more likely to commit, as opposed to someone who gets the unfortunate surprise of realizing that if you want to make money with a website you actually have to work.
Half the reason people fail is because they don't understand how much work is involved in making yourself a success. They assume once their website is up verything will run itself.
However, the content, traffic, marketing and admin work that goes into a successful website doesn't create itself. It can take many taxing hours to create a flow of traffic and once you do you need to find a way to keep them coming back.
Before you go around asking, "Can you make money with a website?" ask yourself the following questions:
1. Are you organized? Even if you're working from home, organizational skills are something every business owner needs. It helps you stay on top of your game.
Not just for your website, but for your family too. Things like creating a schedule and delegating responsibility are necessary for you to make money with a website.
2. Are you resilient? Once you become your own boss no two days are the same, and you have be able to adapt to challenges and maintain a good attitude, especially when you have just started out and are not seeing an influx of sales.
3. Are you disciplined? Being your own work at home boss makes you vulnerable to interruptions. In order to make money with a website you need to be able to tune out common distractions like the T.V, or even your comfy bed beaconing you back, and stick with the task.
4. Are you self motivated? A lot of people actually need someone to tell them what to do. They want to work for themselves but they don't have the ability to motivate themselves to get the job done.
5. Are you assertive? Being able to make money with a website involves being assertive. You need to be able to fight for what you want, put yourself out there, and keep going even during hard times.
Can you make money with a website? Yes, but involves hard work and dedication. To see if you already have personal qualities that will help you in this industry ask yourself the above 5 questions.
